Patrician
"Destined to lead." -- Motto of the Citadel Family
Through either the birth-right or independent wealth of your family, you are a member of the nobility. You have lived a privileged and possibly sheltered lifestyle. But now is finally the time to stretch your wings.
Work with the Game Master to decide your lineage and title if you have one. Together you should determine the benefits and responsibilities that come with your position.
Skill Proficiencies: History, Persuasion
Tool Proficiencies: One gaming set, or one musical instrument.
Languages: One of your choice
Equipment: Noble clothes and 2d8+15 (24) gp. You may choose any gaming set or any musical instrument. You may also choose jewelry worth up to 10 gp, which may include a family signet ring (worth 5 gp).
Feature: Noble Family
The name of your family proceeds you. Your social status ensures that you are treated with respect by your peers and often reverence by the lower classes. Anyone who does otherwise risks provoking the ire of your family. It is easy for you to fit in at royal courts and high-class establishments.
During downtime, if you are able to stay at your family's estate, you can live an Aristocratic lifestyle for free. See the SRD for information on lifestyle expenses and downtime.
Characteristics
Patricians can have all types of personalities: haughty, chivalrous, eccentric, down to earth, mysterious and beyond. However they are all inexorably shaped by their family's nobility and wealth. They grew up surrounded by privilege and their personalities reflect that. They also feel the burden of expectation - whether they choose to reject or embrace it.
